Queensland Life Saving Championship

The Queensland Life Saving Championship is the pinnacle event of the SLSQ’s sporting calendar. This event will draw more than 2,000 competitors from across Queensland to the Sunshine Coast. The competitors will participate in a range of challenging events testing the strength, speed and endurance of these master sports athletes.

This year the event will be hosted by neighbouring clubs Maroochydore and Alexander Headland SLSC club. Alexander Headland will host the 2018 Youth Championships across three days from March 2nd to 4th. Maroochydore will be hosting the main event from the 16th to 18th of March.

The event will see athletes from as far north as Port Douglas right through to the southern tip of the Gold Coast line descend on the Sunshine Coast for the first time since 2015.
If you have never spectated a Life Saving Championship before, this is a great place to start. The incredible ability of Sunshine’s Coast best surf and beach athletes is truly a sight to behold.
